I’ve decided to set some goals, and for every goal that I achieve, I’ll reward myself. I know I have to set SMART (you know, Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound) goals, so here’s what I came up with.
- Run 15 minutes without stopping, 3 times a week - iPod armband
- Run 30 minutes without stopping, 3 times a week - nice running shorts
- Run 5 km without stopping, 3 times a week - Nike+ sportband or iPod Touch 32gb
I don’t know yet if I’ll eventually get so serious with running that I’ll decide to join races, but I read about ultramarathons… wouldn’t it be just grand if I’d be fit enough and confident enough to run in one of those?
