    Newbie anew

    I bought 2 vouchers on Deal Grocer to try out CrossFitMNL, and I just finished 1 week of working out there. Not everyday, of course (OF COURSE not everyday!). During that 1 week I was able to go 3 times, which was good enough for me. I’m definitely signing up when I use up my second voucher.

    What I love about going there is it’s such a no-frills gym (or box, as they call it)… no free coffee, no sofas, no TVs, no mirrors. And I guess that’s what sets the mood when you come in. You know that you’re there to work — nothing else. While the coaches are of course always ready to help, be warned that you will not be coddled and babied. They mean business.

    I know crossfit is not for everyone, but it’s definitely for me. I love it that the WODs are so intense that you can’t think about anything else. And I always, ALWAYS get butterflies in my stomach before going to the box. Just goes to show what a wuss I am. But I’ll keep on keeping on because I want to get stronger.
